I read Chaos Monkeys by Antonio García Martínez on

Review

I heard about this book in a mildly positive New York Times review, which ended up being accurate.

The Times review was right on the money: as García Martínez is the picture of egotistical, macho, mysognist, elistist tech. But he’s also one of the few people to write about this experience in full – thanks to the fact that he essentially has left the industry. He’s also, clearly, the sort of economic-math-technology mind that is incredibly important in large companies and in the advertising industry. And, despite his flaws, García can write – sort of like an alternate-universe Byron Crawford.

Would I recommend this? Probably not. But it was kind of fun.
