I live in the Mission. It’s one of the neighborhoods specifically excluded from SB50, because it has borne the brunt of a lot of San Francisco’s growth and has already been upzoned while rich neighborhoods like Noe Valley and Bernal Heights have resisted any housing that would threaten their single-family houses.
Anyway, the house around the corner was demolished recently, to build another house. This is kind of noteworthy because the house that was demolished stuck out a little - but because it was new and small. Demolition is relatively rare in San Francisco: most big new projects happen on empty lots or parking.
